Consumer Electronics was the #1 Marketplace vertical for March in 2016. The Top categories leading the way last year were Televisions, Tablet & eReaders, Laptops, Cellphones, Computer Accessories, Cameras, and Desktops.
Top Television brands included Samsung, Vizio, LG and Sony. Creating bundles with Home Video & Audio and TV Accessories will help offset MAP pricing and increase the AOV to drive sales and also create unique opportunities to promote items using all the tools we have in place.
March also brings the new assortment of Laptops & Desktops to start hitting the market for 2017. Top Brands include but are not limited to Dell, Apple, HP, Lenovo, and Toshiba.
As spring is approaching Cameras are starting to become a larger part of our sales. The best sellers are the bundles that include accessories to go along with the camera alone. Top Brands include Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Sony.
March is also a good time to take a look at our items and ensure the attributes are there, the more attributes you can add the better informed a customer can be on what they are purchasing. It also a time to ensure best practices of strikethrough pricing, correct categorization and Free Shipping. 80% of our sales in 2016 came from items with Free Shipping.
