MSRP has been removed

What is changing?

Effective October 5, 2017, we have removed the MSRP from item offers.  This was removed from the User Interface, bulk templates, and an updated XML API was released.

How will this impact the Sears.com experience?

Scenario 1:  MSRP and Standard price are provided an item IS NOT on sale

MSRP is used as the top price and is slashed through and the standard price is the price presented to the member on the product page.  Slash through pricing is shown but this item does not appear in the Discount filter.

Future:  Only standard price listed and no slash through pricing is presented

Scenario 2:  MSRP and Standard price are provided and item IS on sale

Current:  MSRP is used as the slashed through price and the sale price is the price presented to the member on the product page.  The item will appear when a member uses Discount filter.

Future:  Standard price will be used as the slashed through price and the sale price will be presented to the member on the product page.  The item will appear when a member uses Discount filter.

Scenario 3: No MSRP.  Standard price is used with a sale price

No changes to this experience

What should sellers do now?

Convert your MSRP to your Standard Price and use Sale pricing to create the slash through pricing.

What will happen if you don’t remove MSRP?

When the update is released, MSRP will be hidden and removed from Seller Portal.  We will also remove the MRSP from the item feed to the site.

In V24 of the Item Management API, the MSRP tag is removed.  No other changes to the APIs will be introduced.
